From Vacuums to SUVs: Dreame’s Bold Leap into Luxury Automobiles

In a move that’s turning heads across the automotive world, Dreame, a brand known for vacuum cleaners and home appliances, has now unveiled a car that closely resembles a Rolls-Royce Cullinan.

The concept SUV—rumored to be called the “D9”—boasts a 3.2-meter wheelbase, coach-style doors, frameless glass, and a fully electric drivetrain.

Beneath the familiar silhouette lies serious tech: a 100 kWh CTP 4.0 battery pack, four independent motors, and an optional range extender.

Inside, the car leans into luxury. With rear captain’s chairs that recline up to 145°, and a pillarless design thanks to coach doors, the interior feels more upscale lounge than SUV.

Dreame’s move is part of a larger strategy. After entering the luxury vehicle market in August 2025, the company launched two brands: Dreame Automotive, for hypercars, and Starry Automotive, directed toward the Rolls-Royce class of SUVs.

Already, Dreame is planning a manufacturing plant in Berlin, strategically placed to enter European markets.

Of course, critics are vocal. They argue that Dreame is repeating a familiar pattern of borrowing heavily from European design icons.

But what sets this effort apart is the boldness and speed of the transition—from vacuums to cars worth hundreds of thousands of euros.

Will Dreame succeed in turning heads for more than just design déjà vu?

Only time will tell—but the ambition is unmistakable
