A bit mixed; the pieces are decent quality, but some stages of the instructions have images in the wrong order. There are a few - attaching the wings, and putting the second side of the base on - which are just frustrating as you have to align multiple tabs while holding multiple parts in just the right positions.

Also in the stage where you put the spring in, the instructions don't match the parts in the kit, so it's easy to put it in backwards. Look at the way the spring curls, not at the centre part that holds it. Fixing that is incredibly difficult.

Also really hard to get all the gears in alignment; on mine the propellors occasionally spin a bit. By the time you discover this it's impossible to fix.

I've built a load of similar folded steel kits before; this was by some margin the most frustrating.

Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed and honest review. We truly appreciate feedback from experienced builders like you — it helps us improve.

We’re glad to hear that you found the parts themselves to be of decent quality, but we’re genuinely sorry that some stages of the assembly process caused frustration.
You’re absolutely right: certain steps, such as wing attachment, base assembly, and spring installation, require precise alignment, and if the instructions are unclear or images are out of order, that can seriously impact the build experience.

Your note about the spring orientation and the gear alignment is especially valuable. We’ve already forwarded this feedback to our engineering and documentation teams so they can review and improve the instruction visuals and clarity in future production runs.
Reducing complexity and preventing irreversible mistakes during assembly is a top priority for us.

We regret that this model didn’t meet your expectations compared to other metal kits you’ve built.

If you’d like, our support team would be more than happy to help with troubleshooting tips, replacement parts, or guidance for smoother operation — please feel free to reach out to us directly.

Thank you again for your candid input. We hope we’ll have the chance to provide you with a much better experience on your next Metal Time build.
