Xiaomi has introduced a new outdoor surveillance camera — the Xiaomi Outdoor Camera 4 Dual-Cam Edition, equipped with two high-resolution 3K lenses (2880×1620 pixels). Both lenses feature bright f/1.6 apertures, ensuring clear and vivid images even in low-light conditions.
The main camera has a fixed 2.8mm wide-angle lens, offering an expansive field of view. It is complemented by a 6mm telephoto lens mounted on a PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) platform. These two modules work in sync: when the main camera detects motion — from a person or vehicle — the rotating telephoto module automatically begins tracking the subject using built-in AI technology.
For night surveillance, each lens is equipped with infrared LEDs and white lights that activate automatically when motion is detected in low-light environments. The device is rated IP66 for dust and water resistance, making it durable in rain, snow, and harsh outdoor conditions.
Additional features include dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, and an Ethernet port, along with full integration into the Mi Home ecosystem. The camera also includes a high-sensitivity microphone and built-in speaker for two-way audio communication. Users can also take advantage of motion-triggered alerts with light and sound, snapshot recording, and multi-device streaming — whether on smartphones, tablets, TVs, or Xiaomi smart displays.
Currently, the Xiaomi Outdoor Camera 4 Dual-Cam Edition is only available in China, priced at approximately $42.
